If you’re at Step 2, you’ve recently completed your phone call and you’ve decided to take the next steps to joining the Satellite Program!

You’ll soon receive an email with information on how to complete the $199 start-up fee and background check. Background checks can take 7-10 business days to get back, but in the meantime, feel free to take a peek at Step 3. For those new to the industry, you may have to conduct some research on how to start your business.

Step 3 is where we get into the nitty gritty!

For those who are experienced advisors with an existing business, you can sit this one out. But if you’re new to the industry or you’re restructuring your business, this is for you!

We are about to send you some forms that will ask you about your business, including:

  • Business name
  • Business contact info, including address, phone number and email
  • Whether or not you are an LLC or not
  • Whether or not you have an E&O policy

Time for paperwork!

Step 4 is where you will complete our Advisor Setup Form. This will provide the Satellite Program with all the information necessary to set you up in our back office, marketing programs, supplier websites, and online lead generator. We’ll also gather the information needed to pay out your commissions, so this is a very important step! Be sure you’ve researched the items mentioned in Step 3 to be sure your onboarding goes smoothly.

Yay! You’re ready to rock!

For experienced advisors, you can hit the ground running! If you’re new to the Travel Leaders consortia, consider taking the New to Travel Leaders online course. This self-paced course is a great introduction to all the perks of being apart of Travel Leaders Network!

For new advisors, you may not know where to start. We don’t require any training, however we highly recommend completing the IC Learning Path online course. This self-paced course will walk you through how to book different suppliers, how to build your online profile to attract leads, how to begin marketing your business and much more!

The sky is the limit when it comes to education. Once you’ve competed the IC Learning Path, consider signing up for one of our specialist courses. These courses are two year programs that go even further in-depth into a specific area of expertise, making you a better advisor for your clients and increasing your earning potential!
